Social Worker
Pamela Torigoe, MSW, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego and spent her final year studying abroad at the University of Cape Town in Cape Town, South Africa. She earned a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Washington in 2012. She served as a Children and Family Welfare Services Social Worker for Washington State and was recognized by the Court, Children’s Administration, and defense counsel for her commitment to children and families involved in the State’s child welfare system.

In 2014, Pamela moved to Hilo, HI located on the Big Island of Hawai’i. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Hawai'i and worked as a Medical Social Worker for the island’s primary hospital, Hilo Medical Center.  She is currently a Medical Social Worker in an ambulatory primary care setting, supporting Big Island’s most medically frail kupuna (elders). She also founded her own outpatient behavioral health private practice in 2019.

Pamela’s passion for serving the communities of Adelanto and Big Island stems from her commitment to closing the care gaps in rural health care and is the driving force behind her recent decision to pursue a Master of Health Administration at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She looks forward to utilizing her skills to support the residents of Graceful Residential Care.
